Description
Microjet® Tube Adaptors are available in a number of different types and sizes for differing applications.
The Tube Adaptors are used to connect 4mm or 5mm flexible tubing to polyethylene lateral pipelines in the same manner as the Riser Adaptors. They can also be used to connect flexible tubing to Rigid Risers (usually to make movable stake assemblies) or to join pieces of tubing together.
The following Tube Adaptors are available:
CODE | SIZE | APPLICATION | ||||||
BG 04 | Threaded/Barbed: 5mm x 2ba | This adaptor is threaded on one side and has a 5mm barb on the other side. It is used for connecting a 5mm flexible tube to the polyethylene lateral or to a rigid riser pipe. The screwed end is either screwed into the polyethylene pipeline or rigid riser and the flexible tube is fitted to the 5mm barbed end.
BG 14 | Threaded/Barbed: 4.5mm x 2ba | This adaptor is threaded on one side and has a 4.5mm barb on the other side. It is used for connecting a 4mm flexible tube to the polyethylene lateral or to a rigid riser pipe. The screwed end is either screwed into the polyethylene pipeline or rigid riser and the flexible tube is fitted to the 4.5mm barbed end.
BG 18 | Barbed: 4mm x 5mm | This adaptor is made with a 4mm barb on one side and a 5mm barb on the other. It is used for connecting 4mm flexible tubing to 5mm flexible tubing. It can also be used to connect tubing to polyethylene pipe.
BH 14 | Barbed (Hex): 4mm x 4mm | This adaptor has a 4mm barb on both sides and is used to join two pieces of 4mm flexible tubing or to connect the tubing to the polyethylene lateral pipe. It has a hex in the middle of the body.
BH 16 | Barbed (Disc): 4mm x 4mm | This adaptor is called the “Disc Adaptor” because it has a fairly large disc in the centre of the body. This disc makes it easier to grip the adaptor when inserting it into the tube. It is also easier to press into the polyethylene pipe once the hole has been made in the pipe with the Microjet® Punch or Spanner as it has more area to grip. This is the standard adaptor used on the majority of the Microjet® Stake Assemblies. |
